Once Again The Present Becomes The Past is the second full-length LP released by the exceptionally fast-moving solo project Alien Nosejob in 2020. Veering sharply back into aggressive territory after a synth-pop phase, this album delivers a focused, furious blast of Hardcore Punk rooted in the 70s/80s style, but infused with Jake Robertson's bizarre, intellectual energy. Conceptually themed around historical repetition and the 1942 Bombing of Darwin, the music is a blend of manic, abrasive riffs, machine-gun drumming, and shouted vocals, interspersed with unexpected "Piano Prelude" interludes that lend the record an anxious, cinematic atmosphere.
