Suddenly Everything Is Twice As Loud is the aptly titled 2020 LP from Alien Nosejob, the prolific solo project of Melbourne/Geelong multi-instrumentalist Jake Robertson (Ausmuteants, Hierophants). This album is a dizzying, genre-hopping fusion of raw Garage Punk, earnest Indie Pop, and Horrendous New Wave, all recorded in a lo-fi, frantic style. Robertson crafts catchy, manic tracks that barely crack three minutes, blending Ramones-core simplicity with the jangle of the Dunedin sound and the bizarre energy of New Wave synths. It's an explosive, self-recorded "genre hopper" full of suburban angst and melodic hooks.
