Diatribes is the sixth studio album from UK extreme metal pioneers Napalm Death. Originally released in 1996, this cassette documents a highly transitional and experimental phase for the band, moving further away from pure Grindcore and Death Metal into a sound heavily influenced by Groove Metal, Industrial, and even elements of Alternative Metal. Featuring Barney Greenway's distinct vocal attack over tight, mid-tempo rhythms and chugging riffs (heard on tracks like "Greed Killing"), the album showcases Napalm Death exploring new sonic territory while retaining their core intensity and politically charged lyricism.
