When considering Charlotte, NC, three things should come to mind: Ric "The Nature Boy" Flair, NASCAR, and the kings of Destructo Rock — ANTiSEEN.
The early 1990s saw ANTiSEEN evolve from regional antiheroes to a global force of Evil Rock'n'Roll. Between storming Europe and extensive domestic terror campaigns, the band managed to record 1992's Eat More Possum — an album now regarded as one of their best and most definitive records.
Despite its legendary status, the album never got the chance to live up to the band's original vision. The 1992/1993 version was mastered with producer Jeff Dahl's instructions completely ignored. While later reissues all did their best to rectify the mistake, none achieved the sound originally intended.
Fast forward to 2026. TKO Records has dug up the original 1/4" mixdown reels and unearthed Jeff Dahl's original hand-written mastering notes. Elite mastering expert Adam Gonsalves has painstakingly remastered Eat More Possum from those original tapes, following Dahl's instructions to the letter. After nearly 35 years and multiple failed attempts — THE POSSUM HAS LANDED.
Whether you climbed aboard in 1992 or 2002, it's time to hear one of your favourite albums again for the first time.
