Before the Subhumans released their first EP Demolition War in late 1981 on Spiderleg Records, they released three demos Parts I-III recorded in a lo-fi manner in their home town Warminster at the Old Bell and the Youth Centre. These were joined together and released as one tape on Dick’s Bluurg tape label in early 1981. 24 tracks that feature versions of songs that next appeared on the first EP and The Day the Country Died album. These are raw and untouched by any production value. It’s rough and ready and absolutely essential listening. It also includes three unreleased songs the band never went back and re-recorded. The album comes housed in a gatefold sleeve with lyrics plus a poster featuring a collage of photos and fanzine interviews from this very early era of the Subhumans.
